Scale Inhibitors

how they work...

Water normally contains '+' ions and '-' ions ~ as we know opposites attract, therefore, as water is heated these positive and negative ions come together to form limescale.

OPPOSITES ATTRACT

Through a scale inhibitor we induce a single polarity, whereby the '+' and '-' ions both become '-' , as we know two negatives repel which prevents limescale forming.

Scale inhibitors do not affect the water hardness levels (ppm*) they just reduce the limescale forming, through heated water.

WE DO NOT ADD OR REMOVE ANYTHING, WE JUST HOLD THE CALCIUM IN SUSPENSION

POLYPHOSPHATE (PP)

This process works slightly differently by coating the inside of the pipe preventing the formation of limescale.

NOTE: Please ensure that the PP is a food grade product, so it is safe to drink. Non food grade polyphosphate uses silicone and is not safe to consume.

* ppm = parts per million

• Economical to operate • Water remains potable
• No maintenance • Easy to install
• Competitive initial cost • Stops hard scale forming
• No chemicals used
