CalRo is a reverse osmosis (RO) filtration system. Its purpose is to filter out 98% of contaminants from your water. It is the most effective form of filtration available. CalRo works by passing water through a series of filters, 5 in total. As the water passes through each of the 5 stages, different levels of contaminants are removed. For more information on this process please click here.
The five stages are as follows…
1. Sediment cartridge, SED, removes suspended matter in the water supply.
2. Carbon Block 1 cartridge, CB1, removes chlorine to prolong the life of the membrane.
3. Carbon Block 2 cartridge, CB2, as above.
4. The RO membrane, CalRo Mem, is a semi permeable membrane that holds remaining suspended solids and dissolved impurities. Water is allowed pass through but the solids and impurities are forced to drain.
5. Activated carbon cartridge, Slim C , a post filter which removes any residual taste and odour from the water. For more information on what each filter removes please click here.
This all then passes to a storage tank which supplies a touch tap so that purified water is available on demand. CalRo provides the purest form of water for many specialist applications. It is also ideal for people with health concerns, for example those on low sodium diets.
IMPORTANT NOTE…
CalRo requires the filters and membrane to be replaced at select intervals to ensure it continues to work effectively. Below are the guidelines for element replacement.
