CalPP releases small doses of siliphos into the water. Siliphos utilises the phenomenon that minute concentrations of polyphosphates are sufficient to inhibit the formation of limescale on metallic surfaces. This is simply down to the silicate and polyphosphate content. Siliphos coats the pipework and prevents calcium and magnesium particles from crystallising and forming a layer of hard limescale on pipes, boilers, showerheads, taps, washing machines and dishwashers etc.
CalPP needs to be refilled with siliphos spheres to ensure that your system is continually protected. This should be done every 3 – 6 months depending on your water usage.
