CalDensate is an acidic neutraliser designed to treat condensate created by condensing boilers. Condensing boilers have the ability to allow the water vapour, produced during combustion, to condense and pass most of its latent heat into the heating system. This produces water, known as condensate, which has to be put to drain. The condensate is normally acidic and so when pumped to drain it can have a harmful effect on the environment. By installing CalDensate the condensate is pH neutralised, making it safe to pump to drain. It does this by passing the condensate through a specially formulated medium.
CalDensate is simple and easy to fit-in-line. This removes the need to dig a condensate trap. Ideal when the condensing boiler is situated above ground floor. Additionally, the unit comes with a replaceable medium making it even more environmentally friendly. After 12 months, simply purchase a refill, Densate R, and replace old with new.
